steve roggenbuck has compiled a chapbook of poetry

the poetry is seemingly deadpan

but ultimately whimsical

the poems are stark

haiku-esque

representations of elaborate ideas

i.e.

“you are gone

for lunch i had peanuts”

seemingly arbitrary,

until you realize whomever has left the poem

is probably causing the author’s appetite to suffer

this collection is

planned to feel unplanned

which is genius

if he was selling these chapbooks i would say

go buy steve’s book

but he is giving them out for free,marvelous
